Which do you guys prefer? I like doing the fast advancement at least for the first few levels in order to get those out of the way and have characters be more survivable. At some point I may switch to the Medium advancement column though, but I'm not sure.
Sooo....do you guys like the idea of sticking with fast advancement, or do you like it just for the early levels? If the latter, what levels do you consider the early levels?
How many adventures per character level seems right to all of you? |

I don't know enough/haven't played enough to really know the difference. Personally, I prefer NOT leveling up on the fly ... that is difficult for me. I do however kind of like the fast leveling, it makes me feel like I've accomplished something - on the other hand, I also like the idea of getting to spend some time getting to know what Blaise can do before adding new stuff to play with.
So, as usual, I'm looking to the feedback of the "masters" of the game ... but maybe NOT listening to the DM this time! |

| I'm not a "master" of the game like some of the others are, but I do prefer quick advancement especially at low levels. I wouldn't mind sticking with the fast advancement throughout, but if we were to switch to a slower advancement rate somewhere in the levels 6-8 would seem appropriate. Everyone's pretty sturdy at that point with access to some good items/abilities/spells. |

I like fast advancement. I don't really like leveling on the fly... sure, it's nice to have a powerup, but the game stops while everyone frantically updates their character sheets. I prefer to have time to putter with it later. So unless a session would end early anyway, I'd prefer to have it happen after we're done playing.
