Campaign Setting?

Postby RJ » Thu Jun 12, 2008 12:54 am

Does anyone have a preference on a Campaign setting? The default setting is generic D&D aka Greyhawk. On D&D insider they have extra content for converting the module to be run in Eberron or Forgotten Realms. It's really more of a flavor thing but each one has a few different encounters to go with the setting. Did anyone have any charcter concepts that would better fit in a different setting?

No real preference I suppose. If those are the options, I think I'd rather have an original world you slowly build on. Just pick some of your favorite features from all the different settings for your own.

Or go Dragonlance. ;)

I'd say FR, but it's not a strong preference. Let the DM decide! :D

I've glanced at the FR changes and they seem alright. i will have to look over the Eberron content.

I'll ask my brother and nephew if they have any preferences.

Looked over the Eberron bonus content and did not like it as much as the FR stuff. Also talked with my brother and he prefers FR, so I cast a vote for him.

I think I'll go ahead and set the game in Forgotten Realms then. As I said before the changes will be minor especially for a starter game. Mostly just Deities and locations.
